WHAT IS CROSSFIT?
CrossFit can be a pretty intense workout that is led by a coach and performed in group setting. The CrossFit workout is often described as Constantly Varied, Functional Movements performed at High Intensity. Variety is the key here. CrossFit is a mix of metabolic conditioning (“cardio”), gymnastics, and weightlifting.
What this means is that when you come workout with us at CrossFit Pompano Beach, you will very rarely do the same workout twice. You will only be performing functional movements (no bicep curls or tri-rope pull downs here) and you will work out harder than you probably ever have before.
CROSSFIT CLASSES
As time goes on, CrossFit will become more than just a workout for you. Every day at CrossFit Pompano Beach is a new athletic challenge. You might find yourself glued to our blog each night waiting to see what the next challenge will be. Your goal each day will be to complete the workout of the day as quickly as possible (with the correct form). Workouts will consist of movements that you are good at and others you struggle with. The drive to get better and post better times will keep you working your hardest to improve. Rather than having to force yourself to go into the gym, you won’t be able to wait to go to the gym and it won’t take long before going to CrossFit each day is second nature. CrossFit becomes very addictive for a lot of people.
Each Class at CrossFit Pompano Beach will have weight lifting, running, body weight movements (such as air squats and pushups), gymnastics movements (such as and pull-ups or ring dips), and anything else we can throw in to keep things interesting..
You will be surrounded by very healthy individuals who train hard and eat healthy. When you are in the company of people who are in great shape it is much easier to be motivated to be in just as good as shape. Since results in the gym are about 70% of what you eat we also offer nutritional counselling and weight loss challenges to help you shred those extra pounds. OLYMPIC LIFTING:BROLY
BROLY is what we call our Olympic Lifting program at CrossFit Pompano Beach. With Olympic lifting we are training the SNATCH and the CLEAN AND JERK. Olympic lifting has a ton of benefits for athletes including Core stability, Flexibility, Mobility, Explosive Power, Vertical Jump and it has a huge carryover to most sports.
Every BROLY session class has a warm up, skill work session and specially programmed Olympic lifting work out for that day.
Whether you are looking to improve your Olympic lifts for crossfit or want to hit the competition platform we can create a program for you. Our main goal is moving the barbell safely and efficiently.
Take part in the snatch or clean and jerk clinic’s as part of the wod programming or for $25 a month current members can have an individualized program.
